[livejournal.com profile] little_bullets and I are reviving the Six Degrees of Separation game. I am returning to my epic addiction after a five year-ish hiatus. And after one day, I've already converted a good portion of my co-workers from "that is the saddest game on the planet" to "oh...oh....OH! I know, I've got it!" levels of participation.

So, to quote the BFF:

WANNA PLAY? :D?

Gimme two Hollywood screen actors and I'll link them to each other through six or less movies. No cheating (IMDB, Google, etc). Once I've answered I'll give you two names for you to connect, which you can do in your journal if you want to perpetuate the game.

Go team go!!

This one was hard! Had to overcome the Canadian/American AND the tv/movies divide! Have therefore had to go to 5 connections.

Callum Keith Rennie was a guest star on Dark Angel (1) with Jessica Alba who was in Fantastic Four (2) with Ioan Gruffudd who was in King Arthur (3) with Kiera Knightly who was in Pirates (4) with Johnny Depp who was in Donnie Brasco (5) with Anne Heche. :)

But you can't use TV shows! TRY AGAIN, HOMIE.

You can use tv shows! I distinctly remember linking through Twitch City when we played before. What you can't use is personal relationships - marriages and the like. :p

I feel like it's cheating because EVERYBODY has been on Friends! And where do you draw the line? Do reality shows count? Do documentaries? And whatever things like The Hills is??

I see the difficulty. This point needs clarification. Perhaps tv shows are in, but only for the core cast rather than guest stars? So we can link Jennifer Anniston to Courtney Cox-Arquette through Friends, but can't abuse it for guest stars. This also cuts chat shows, which are ALL guests.

HOWEVER. I have figured out how to get it down to 3 steps using only films.

CKR was in Momento (1) with Carrie-Anne Moss who was in Chocolat (2) with Johnny Depp who was in Donnie Brasco (3) with Anne Heche. Ha!
