I like lists.
8 January 2005 01:23 pmAccomplished so far today:
- provided comfy surface for cats to play-fight on at 8:30, which was good, actually, as I'd forgotten to set my alarm.
- did last night's dishes, which I went to bed instead of doing after dinner.
- MADE AND DRANK POT OF COFFEE -- mmm, coffee.
- watched half of Boondock Saints over a breakfast of porridge.
- called my mother.
- downloaded and set up Firefox
- downloaded and tried, without much success, to set up Thunderbird.
- tried, without success, to figure out how to uninstall Microsoft Internet Explorer and Outlook Express.
- wrote draft of statement of research interests for doctoral application (!!1!).
- emailed said draft to both my thesis supervisor and my mother for comments.
Plans for rest of day:
- lunch, perhaps while watching the second half of Boondock Saints.
- possibly swim, but not until at least an hour after lunch.
- shower.
- begin revision of requisite two samples of writing for doctoral application.
- meet up with
mcee and
angstslashhope for dinner.
Plans for tomorrow:
- SKI
- SKI SOME MORE
- SKI SKI SKI SKI SKI
- SKI
- SKI SKI
- break for lunch, work on writing sample revision over packed sandwiches and an incredibly expensive, rather mediocre tasting bowl of ski-lodge soup.
- SKI SKI SKI
- SKI
- SKI SKI SKIING SKI SKI
- drive back to Ottawa
- dinner
- sleep the justifiably deep sleep of the truly exhausted
Plans for Monday:
- panic over doctoral application, which absolutely must be mailed by Tuesday.
- panic over French competency test, scheduled for Friday.
- panic over the fact that the Center for Research Libraries has recalled the microfilm reels of the Pall Mall Gazette that I've had for less than a week.
- panic over the sheer enormity of all those three things being at the same time.
- finish writing sample revision.
- possibly curl in the evening.
