I have a little present each for you and kx. They are really, really little. More a token of my esteem than anything else. I will pop them in the mail as soon as I unearth them from my suitcase. I wrapped all the presents in random items of clothing to prevent them from being smashed -- a good idea in theory, but one that is making them rather hard to find.
My darling British girlfriend! I found myself mentioning you frequently on the trip -- my travelmates are, I have no doubt, utterly sick of hearing about both you and mcee.

I saw some lions, actually! They were out on the Maasai Mara (the corner of Tanzania's Serengetti that dips up into Kenya). One of them was chewing and molesting a pillow, while another batted a very nice looking safari hat about for amusement.

I missed you too! And I *am* good, yes. Well, today, anyway. :) Tomorrow is Monday (again, WAH), so that's another story, but my Reg was just here for the weekend, as a birthday surprise for Cathy, which we executed flawlessly, and there was much pizza and cupcakes and silliness in celebration.
I am, sadly, not tanned. Still all winter-pasty, woe.
