I have just finished my rewrites. Further rewrites will no doubt be required after my thesis supervisor goes over it, and will certainly be required after the thesis defense board takes a whack at it, but for now? Done.

I now have a thesis, as opposed to a collection of disconnected chapters. It is one document. One 143 page, 45 131 word document.

I'm not quite sure I believe it yet. I'm still waking up in the morning with that vague sense that I should be worrying about something. I mean, I should still be worrying about it, in the sense that I still need to sort out certain things, but I'm close enough now that it's certain that I'm not going to run into deadline issues.

msilverstar (*points upwards*), I'm still having a little difficulty believing it. I feel like I've been working on it for so long that I can't quite concieve of finishing it. My parents, as a relax it's over!! kind of present, are taking me along with them on a long weekend to New York City week after next.

The first thing I said when they told me that was, "Ooh! I can go see the Stead memorial in Central Park!"

My mother patted me on the head.
