I woke up to find that I am out of milk and forgot to buy any yesterday. That means no coffee.

...

NO COFFEE.

I went back to bed for an hour after making that discovery, because why bother to get up if I can't have coffee? Really.

We use UHT milk, which means we always have a spare carton of milk under the sink.

That said, I have been jealous since I heard that you Canucks get milk in bags.
