21 September 2008 10:13 amIn an unfortunate turn of events, a very nice leaving do for the former head of my faculty at school on Friday has left me with a bit of a case of food poisoning. It's not a terribly bad case, as far as food poisoning goes, but it utterly spoilt my plans for Saturday.
I was meeting up with a friend of mine in London to check out the Museum of the Docklands new Jack the Ripper exhibit. I was checking it out in advance of taking a trip there with my new after school club -- the History Society. We are researching the Ripper case as our first project.
I had to run out of the exhibit to throw up in the bathroom -- and thank goodness I made it that far, as it was a close run thing. I had to abandon my friend after only an hour and make my way home. I was so sick that I had to get off the train at every stop and sit and wait for my stomach to settle before catching the next train and going one more stop again.
Spent all of yesterday sleeping on the couch with the TV going.
I am feeling better today, but still shakey. Food poisoning does take it out of you!
