I have been working like crazy of late and am dizzy with tiredness come about 9:30 or 10:00 at night. This is my explanation, and I am sticking to it, as to how I managed to knock a full glass of white wine over my laptop, which was sitting open.
And despite the fact that I immediately raced off to the kitchen to press a towel into the keyboard and turned it upside down to leave it to dry overnight, the laptop will no longer turn on. I hold hope that it will be possible to rescue the data from the hard drive, as when I plug it in it still registers as charging and there are similar signs of life. But I do not think I am being preemptory if I declare my baby officially dead.
It would seem that I am in the market for a new laptop. I am looking for something affordable, but am willing to shell out a bit for something worthwhile. PC a must, as Macs and I do not think the same way.
