(no subject)

I left the book I was reading in the my car, which I just took in to the garage to get it fixed. It seems that the tailpipe has either rusted or broken or come unfixed from the muffler, which explains why the engine sounded really loud and why I had exhaust coming from beneath the middle of the car.

I suppose it's probably just as well I left the book behind, as I really should be writing the thesis rather than reading. But still.

As I read over what I have written so far on the thesis, I find myself thinking this is what I had to say that was worth devoting two years of my life to saying it?

I am also having some difficulty making the transition from writing historical fiction for fun and thesis writing. I keep wanting to just make things up to fill in the gaps, but I understand that sort of thing is frowned upon in academic circles.
