(no subject)

I am shut into the history reading room. I wasn't quite finished on the computer before the end of the working day and Joan, the History graduate secretary and all around life saver and miracle worker for the History graduate student body, opted to lock me in rather than out.

Also, I left my keys in my car, which my dad stole and drove to Toronto to catch his flight to Cuba, so I've been using my spare set to get in and out of my apartment, but I have no spare set of office keys, and had to beg to be let in every time some helpful person shut the door when I stepped out to, like, pee or talk to someone or something.

Anyway, I'm currently without internet at home, due to an unfortunate lack of overlap as I change internet providers. As such, I'll be spending a lot of time on campus as I try to sort out my applications for various things for next year. At least until my new modem shows up in the mail and I get connected at home again.

Otherwise, things progress apace. I came back to stress and emotional see-saws, which I've come to expect from my academic life. I think I need to get out of this racket, otherwise I'm going to have a heart condition and a growing ulcer collection by the time I hit 25.

I'm taking a much needed three to four hour vacation from stress tonight and going to see Closer with mcee. Clive Owen, baby, yeah. CLIVE! Clive, Clive, Clive. Cliiiiiiive Oooooooohhhhhhwen, yeah. *THUMBS UP*
