There is, I am beginning to suspect, such a thing as TOO much excitement!

I sketch, largely in pencil or ink, but never in colour because I can't make it work. I'm not terribly good, but I'm good enough to make me happy, which is all that I need. A lot of what I draw looks very comicish -- it's my roots showing, I expect.

This particular show, though, is called "We Practice What We Preach" and is all Education faculty and students showing pieces they either did as a hobby or, in the students case, did in art class as part of our curriculum studies stuff. The bits I submitted to the show are rather atypical of me -- a full colour painting of the bay outside my house and a series of three ink prints made from a block I carved.

I'm going to try and take pictures to show all of my adoring fans who are just too far away to make it to the opening. ;)
