HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SISTER WHO I LOVE OH SO VERY VERY MUCH I CAN'T EVEN SAY!!!

She's turning fifteen today. When did fifteen happen? Last time I looked she was seven -- just a tiny little thing with a big crooked grin and an unfortunate tendency to steal things out of my room.

Now she's fifteen. I remember when I was fifteen. I thought I was fantasticly grown up -- wrapping up grade 11 and sliding into grade 12 with grace. Learning to drive. Being all, like, mature and stuff.

Know what?

Fifteen looks a lot younger from this side of things. Or a lot older. I can't quite decide.

Either way -- <3333333333333.

I hate the part where vacation ends and I have to leave home again. Even though Ottawa is home, too.

In other news, my poor sister wrenched the ligament in her right knee skiing today and is in a full leg brace. She's heartbroken -- it's a hell of a thing to happen to a girl on her birthday. Also, she's on the ski team and the first practice is on Wednesday, which she is now going to have to miss, obviously.

I felt so bad that I ended up spending a small fortune on birthday/feel better presents on her today. Then we got take out from East Side Mario's and curled up on the couch with teen movies and cake and decorated her crutches with little red, gold, and silver star stickers. She's going to be the most fashionable little hobble-monkey ever.

Also, she insists that we call her Crutchy and has been humming Newsies under her breath all night.
