Last draft of thesis due in to supervisor: by next Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest, as she is moving out of the country on Friday.
Completed thesis due in to department: August 2nd.
Chapter currently up for rewrite: everloving chapter three on the "Maiden Tribute of Modern Babylon," which is actually much better than I expected it to be, except for the vast number of typos and instances of bad writing that I somehow overlooked before handing in the draft in the first place.
Left to do: finish the rewrites on chapter one and three, somehow reign in the 3857-words-and-counting conclusion so that it actually is a conclusion and not another chapter (although it quite easily could be), reorient the introductory historiography chapter I wrote last year so that it introduces the thesis I did write instead of the one I thought I was going to write, and the decorative extras like the title page, abstract, acknowledgments, table of contents page, and works cited listing (which, thankfully, I have more or less kept a running file of anyway). I also have to fix my footnotes.
Plans for the immediate future: go swimming, pick this up in an hour.
