Job interview tomorrow -- around my usual teaching schedule! Eep!

The interview went very well. It was with an agency that places teachers in the UK. They have declared themselves prepared now to promote me with great enthusiasm to headmasters all across Britain. If all goes well, I may have a classroom all my own and full of small British people next year. So, fingers crossed that someone needs a slightly over-qualified British history teacher of my precise age and disposition for their school.

This is all, of course, assuming that I do not fail out of school for not completing and submitting the thirty thousand forty hundred sixty-seven ten two hundred seventy twenty-two six million assignments that are due in the next two days. Not to mention the that many again due next week. Also exams.

After that, I get to finally stop screwing around and get back into the classroom.

This teaching thing is, incidentally, very cool. Hoop-jumping aside.

Spent all night prepping for the job interview I have first thing tomorrow morning.

This one, I care about.

Interview = done. I feel pretty good about the whole thing. I should not prepare more often -- the lady told me I interview really well.

Ball hockey = done. We lost both games, but had a fantastic time doing it.

Art show = visited. My stuff is pretty. Other people's stuff is fantastic. All very nice.

Formal = done and done. Meh. People were pretty and that was nice. Still, meh.

I woke up this morning with an overwhelming desire to go for a bike ride. Sadly, this is Canada in January and there is currently a snow storm warning for my region. So not so much.

Job interview this morning at 11:00am.

I have decided I don't really want the job and have opted not to really prepare for the interview terribly well. It will, however, be good to have my first teaching job interview out of the way on an occasion where the stakes are fairly low.

In other news, I will also be doing intramural ball hockey before and after the interview, then sometime this afternoon hitting the art show before dashing home to get ready for tonight's Eddie formal.

I would like to make some kind of concluding remark here that would make this eclectic and busy day make sense, however since I don't quite know what to make of it myself, I've got nothing.

Good morning! Happy Saturday!

Class until 10:00pm tonight and now I have to write a cover letter.

My mother suggested I go with, "My mother is decended from the Viking berzerkers. Hire me or else."

I think I'm going to go with something similar to that, except longer and focused more on my strengths and experiences.

Job applicationing tomorrow. Will be dressed nice. Am thinking dark blue-purple shirt to go with the bags under my eyes.

My life lately is quite busy. Also odd. Example, this week.

All very exciting.
